Real Techniques Brush Crush

I've said before but Real Techniques are some of my favourite bushes and are the brand I probably own the most of. So when I saw on Hannah's Blog here that they had a new Superdrug exclusive collection I had to check them out yesterday whilst I still had birthday money to spend.

Brush Crush Packaging

They are literally stunning. The handle is shaped like the Bold Metals collection with a thinner tapered edge. The handle is a purple glitter with a gold barrel and the brush hairs are white with a purple dipped tip. When my 5 year old niece saw them she instantly said they reminded her of unicorns and mermaids.

There are 7 products in the range, 6 brushes and a sponge. The brushes are;

  • 300 Powder a large brush to apply finishing powder or powder foundation £12.99
  • 301 Foundation brush for applying liquid or powder foundations for a buildable look and retails for £12.99
  • 302 Blush brush to add a pop of colour and retails for £12.99
  • 303 Flat contour for applying cream or powder contour and is £12.99
  • 304 Fan brush for highlighter application £12.99
  • 305 Shadow Brush a blending brush and retails at £9.99
  • SM Diamond Sponge to be used for anything you'd use a blending sponge for and is £9.99

L-R 301,302,305

I picked up 301,302 and 305 as Superdrug currently have them on 3 for 2. I have tested them out and they are the high quality I'd expect from Real Techniques but with that little added glamour.

301 is interesting as it's actually more square than round and is soft but densely packed so applies a light to medium coverage that I was able to build to full coverage. No brush strokes were visible either and although they look so different the finish was similar to when I use their expert face brush.

301 Foundation Brush

302 is a tapered design with again exceptionally soft bristles. I like to hold my blusher brush towards the base to get a more subtle application and the handle design lent itself to that perfectly.

302 Blusher Brush

305 is the perfect blending brush for achieving a natural well blended look and it's again dense enough to pack on colour but soft enough to diffuse it naturally.

305 Shadow Brush

I don't know how Sam and Nic keep doing it but I'm really glad that they do. I'm just hoping come payday next week there are still some left as I definitely need the full set!

Brush Crush are available at Superdrug here while stocks last but I really would be quick if you want them as my store had already sold out of the Diamond Sponge.

Which Real Technique brushes are your must haves?
