Colourpop Christmas Haul

Following on from Stacey's great Colourpop post, I wanted to share with you what I was lucky enough to get from my husband as part of my Christmas present.  Now, as you may have seen we are huge fans of Colourpop and have never been let down by the quality of their products, we have however been stung by customs each time we've ordered lately so just bear that in mind when ordering- anything from the US is liable for customs but it's worth it for pretties like these!

First up are a couple of the "loose" super shock shadows, I went for Ritz- A sheer nude with a silver glitter and Catnap- A warm copper. These shades are part of their charity line, all net profits go to Best Friends Animal Society so you're helping as well as looking pretty! Because Ritz is a sheer nude it can take a lot of building to get pigmentation payoff, I prefer to use it as a topper.

Next up we have the dusk 'TILL dawn super shock shadow collection, as soon as I saw this online I knew I had to have it, featuring 6 stunning shades in their unique formula it is a must for any Colourpop fan. Shades included are: New Magic, Goodish, Stargirl, Half Light, Babykins and Slay Bells. It is a mix of sheer and pigmented shades, layering the shades will increase it's usability and ensure you have a great mix of looks at your fingertips.

Following that collection I also have the POLITE AF super shock shadow collection. This is quite different from the dusk palette as all the shades included are super pigmented so you have good coverage with these without multiple layering, as with all the super shock shadows it is best to apply them with your finger rather than a brush to get the best colour payoff. Featured in this collection is: Deep Dive, Drift, Birthday Girl, Birthday Cake, Stereo and Sequin. Sequin is my go to Colourpop shade if I'm needing a quick eye look and I had just hit pan so I'm excited to get another one in this set. Most of these are deeper, richer tones so perfect for this time of year.

Finally I have a pressed powder palette, Golden State of Mind. This is a beautiful palette of 15 pressed powders in a range of jewelled shades, if you like mattes this is NOT the palette for you. There is a lovely mix of lights, darks, warms and cool shades so it makes it a really versatile palette, in fact I use it on myself and my friend on New Years Eve and was able to create looks for both of our styles from this palette, I just added a matte transition colour and we were all set. Unlike the super shock shadows these are best applied with a brush, there can be a bit of fallout so just be careful if you've spent time perfecting your base first.

Hope you have enjoyed my haul, we will be featuring more products over the next few days from our Christmas gifts. You can find Colourpop here
